Program 1: Spanish/Culture in Valencia : Internships in Valencia, Spain. Valencia is the third largest city in Spain, located on the Mediterranean Sea. In 2007, Valencia will be hosting the Americas Cup. Internships are in the following areas : Banking and Finance; Marketing and Advertising and Fine Arts. Other possible fields are : Social Services; Hotel and Hospitality; Graphic and Interior Design and Transport, Trade and Shipping. Requirements: Participants must have "high intermediate" Spanish language skills; completion of at least 2 years of studies at the intern's respective college or university in the US or elsewhere and native English language skills (preferable at an advanced level) is recommended. Interns also will be required to enroll in an intensive Spanish language course offered by the AIP Language Institute to improve Spanish language skills.The fee for internship applicants is 500 Euros (initial deposit of 150 Euros; balance to be paid upon internship confirmation). Interested applicants are urged to apply at least 6 months before the start of the internship(s) which last a minimum of two months. Family stays at half-board (full board is possible) in single room only. All internships are non-paid, and participants are responsible for their own expenses including room and board. Program 2: The school has 2 locations: Valencia and Alicante. Both offer year-round group/individual Spanish language courses (all levels/20 to 30 hours of instruction per week); 5 Cultural classes; D.E.L.E. Test Preparation; Basic/Higher Certificates of Spanish for Business and Tourism and Spanish & Fun Programs (Over 50, Golf, Cooking, Sailing, etc.). Accommodation options include homestays (half and full board); student flats and a modern student residence. Pick up service from Valencia International Airport to accommodation is available.
